Night fun
I haven’t really been partying up late ever since a long time. Having this little late night Kbox-ing and pubbing really did brought me back to those dancing and drinking days. Well, i must say i kind of miss those clubbing days. Dancing is just so destressing for me.
Sadly, many of friends actually find dancing at clubs stressing because they claim they can’t dance, scared paiseh, scared people laugh, dunno how to shake blah blah blah. What sia? Just go there and anyhow shake la. So dark in there, no one will notice also.
Anyway, back to the topic, me and shawn went to Pradiz Kbox for some late night singing on Wed. Why we ended up there? Cos we went down to a friend’s ktv pub at Paradiz and he kept asking me to sing. But frankly speaking, i really really can’t sing for nuts. Furthermore, i haven’t sang since i last left my ex working place (the ktv that i used to work for). Then just got this sudden urge to go Kbox, to prove to Shawn that i really really can’t sing. Seriously, not everyone is blessed with a voice to sing, mine really can’t. Not that i don’t want, or have never tried. But i did, and i know it is really bad. Ask Shawn if you don’t believe. I have never hear anyone sing as bad as me in my life. HAHA.
Ok. *Pat head* I’m getting more emo as i go on.
Shall go cheer myself up with a chocolate bar.
Pulau Ubin Trip
Today’s trip to Pulau Ubin was really a exciting one. The last time i went there was probably almost 2 years back. Everything there just still amazes me so much. The entire place look like it still lives in the 1980s. We started off from Changi Jetty where we took a 15 minute ferry ride there.
The wheather was BEAUTIFUL….
Brezzy. Clear.
Ubin Jetty.
Kampongs still do exists in Singapore afterall.
Hidden beauty of Ubin.
Scarcrows. It sure did scare me when i first saw it.

Got Indian scarrcrow also. Singapore sure do practices racial harmony.
One thing everyone gotta try there is Ubin Durians. Man, it is scrumptous. No pesticides, Safe and healthy, 100% Ubinians, these durians are a must try. It is soooooo sweet. The meat so soft and tender, it “melts in your mouth and not your hands” (M & M). It cost $12 per Kg. Slightly expensive, but people travel all the way there just to get Ubin durians you know. Ubin durians: comfirm must try when you’re there.
Anyone with a weak heart for dogs are highly advised not to visit Ubin. The place is full of dogs, both wild and tame. ![]()
We cycled through this road where there was no single humans or signs of humans around. It was so so scary. We just cycled along this path where there were just lakes and trees and grass and lakes all beside us. It was quite scary because we were almost lost. I’ve been to Ubin quite a couple of time but have never chance upon this path. And we couldn’t even find any other alternative route out, so we’ve to followed that damn long path. After like hours of cycling, i saw this crocodile like thingy in front of me, just right beside the lake and grass. It was scary man. The creature wasnt’ very big though, about less than a meter, probably a baby only. But, with baby mean got mum right. We were damn damn damn frightened. Reflex, run for our lives, cycled as fast as we could down the path which leads us deeper and deeper into dunno where. Then, we met a bunch of wild dogs, and i mean really wild. There were still quite far off, but were barking at us. Not the usual mini barks of tame dogs, but almost like those of a roar of tigers. There were probably at least 6 or more of them. It was scary, they sounded like they wana tear us apart. Run… cycled away as fast as we could again. This time we make a uturn and cycled back to where we came from. Enough of adventures, don’t wana get any deeper into Ubin. Below is what i saw that i mistaken it for a crocodile. It’s actually called a Water Monitor, known as a shy creature that is usually mistaken for a croc. This creature eats water creatures and can grow up to 2.5 meters. It sure look like a croc, doesn’t it. Whatever it is, thank God i’m still in one peice. Phew. What an adventure.
